OUR TRIP TO MEDINA AZAHARA AND THE MOSQUE
On Wednesday 7th of December (2011), we, the Bilingual students of 2ºA/B and 2ºC, did a trip to Córdoba. In the bus we were singing a lot of songs. First of all, we visited Medina Azahara, there we entered a little room and we saw a video about this: how it was before, how they lived, the function of the Caliph… Next, we entered a museum with tools of antiquity. Finally, we went up as far as the city of Medina Azahara. There, we began the visit. Teacher Juan Antonio, was explaining each part that we saw, how they functioned, etc. When we finished the visit to Medina Azahara, we took the bus and we went to the Mosque. We stayed in a park. Teachers Juan Antonio, Ivan and Becky, our language assistant went to drink a coffee and we stayed in the park eating and having a good time. When the teacher came back, we went to the Mosque. We entered in “La Judería”, we stopped in some squares to do the activity that the teachers gave us at the beginning of the trip. When we arrived to the Mosque, we stayed a Little in the “Patio de los Naranjos”. When we entered we saw a lot of things, for example, the most interesting was that there were tombs on the floor. We saw too, two nuns ironing, how funny!. When we went out, we went to the bus, and we came back to Castro.
We had a great time!
